Location

Villa DoDo is situated in a quiet area of Péreybère, away from the busy road. Nevertheless it's only 700 metres away from the beach, shops and restaurants, thus easily reachable by foot.

Péreybère

Péreybère is a small cosy town in the north of Mauritius. It has a nice sandy beach, where you can enjoy several activities such as water sports, beachchairs rental, snacks, fruits.
Most businesses are located on the main road, just across the beach. A little summary

For all your excursions, car rental and transport from or to the airport, we can recommend the travel agency "Exotic Dream". Their office is located near the Mauritius Commercial Bank.

Nearby

At only 3 km there is the town of Grand Baie. This is the touristical centre of northern Mauritius, with many pubs, night clubs, restaurants, etc ... There are also a lot of shops and a large super market (Super U).

The motorway (M2) to Port Louis and the south is located at 5 km

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden

Also know as Pamplemousses Garden. This is a world famous botanical garden, with many plants, trees and the famous pools with lotus flowers and lilies.
The park is easely reachable via the M2 to Port Louis, and is only 18km from the villa.

l'Aventure du Sucre

This museum is located in an old sugar factory. It explains the history of Mauritius and how its sugar production originated.
It is located near the same roundabout as Pamplemousses, at about 18km from the villa.

Port Louis

At only 24km from the villa is the capital of Mauritius. It is the economic heart of the island, but also for tourists this is a good place, with many shops and some things to see. You should surely visit the market and the Caudan Waterfront, a shopping mall with many shops, boutiques, restaurants and a craft market.
